The Blind Side

Thanksgiving is day when we stuff stale turkey down our throats and listen to Abueltia complain about everything from the food to the way you are dressed or at least that is how it’s done in my house. Thanksgiving is celebrated relatively the same among all people, the main aspects including food and family with variations of parades and football. It’s the day afterwards that defines us also know as Black Friday.

You have a one of three choices on this day. Option 1 is waking up at 3 in the morning, running to Wal-Mart and fighting with the lady next to you for a under priced plasma screen TV or the latest fashion doll. Option 2 is sleeping in till noon, eating a leftover turkey sandwich, and then going back for more sleep. Simple and to the point. Lastly you have option three. Option 3 is grabbing the local newspaper, skipping the advertisements, and checking the movie show times. Let me tell you option three is your best choice, you are able to enjoy yourself but still get over yesterdays heart burn. Now a lot of different movies come out during this time so it might be a little overwhelming on what to choose but I’ll make it easy for you and just tell you the answer.

Blind Side

Blind side is a true story of Michael Oher, a homeless boy from a broken home, taken in by the Touhys, a upper class family who help him fulfill his potential. At the same time, Michael’s presence in the Touhys' lives leads them to discover and learn the true meaning of family. Michael overcome challenges from grades to becoming one of the most valued football players. The movie is based of the book The Blind Side: Evolution of a Game by Michael Lewis

Blind side is going to be another one of those all around pleasures. It has the football action scenes for the boys, the heartfelt make you feel warm inside moments for the girls, and those laugh out loud parts that everyone loves. Plusthe very talented Sandra Bullock. You can’t help but love that chica.
In the end I give this movie 4 out of 5 slices of turkey. So eat up and see this movie. Bring the whole family, even Abuelita. She won’t complain, because trust me, this movies is worth it.
